Evaluation of selected ski tracks for ski downhill races according to importance and prestige over time

The chart documents how alpine skiing fans rate the importance and prestige of 18 selected downhill tracks across two survey waves — January 2023 and January 2026. Results are compared as aided responses with multiple answers permitted.

The Streif in Kitzbühel ranks first in both waves, cited by 55% of respondents in 2023 and 48% in 2026. The Kandahar in Garmisch holds second place, declining from 42% to 33%. Lauberhorn (Wengen) and the Olympia-Abfahrt (Cortina d'Ampezzo) both measure at 33% in 2023 and 28% in 2026. Among tracks with upward movement between the two waves, Saslong in Gröden rises from 10% to 17%, and America's Downhill in Aspen moves from 9% to 14%. The Planai in Schladming remains unchanged at 19% across both measurement points. Podkoren in Kranjska Gora records the lowest values in both waves, at 6% and 7%.
