Approval of the engagement of Bundesliga soccer clubs against discrimination by age

The chart documents the level of approval among sports-interested respondents in Germany (July 2022) for Bundesliga clubs engaging specifically against discrimination. The comparison is drawn between two age groups: younger respondents aged 16–24 and best agers aged 50 and above.

Among best agers, 39% state that anti-discrimination should be a priority engagement area for Bundesliga clubs. Among young respondents aged 16–24, the corresponding share stands at 27%. The gap between the two age groups amounts to 12 percentage points. Best agers thus register a higher approval rate for this topic than the younger cohort. The younger group's 27% places anti-discrimination below the level recorded among respondents aged 50 and above.
