Desired coach of the German national soccer team (men)
The chart documents which coaches soccer-interested respondents in Germany would like to see as the next head coach of the German men's national team, based on a survey conducted in September 2023. Thirteen candidates are listed, ranging from active club coaches to retired managers and international figures.
Rudi Völler leads the ranking with 26%, placing him well ahead of the field. Julian Nagelsmann follows in second position at 15%. Felix Magath and Louis van Gaal share third place, each at 10%. Matthias Sammer reaches 8%, while Stefan Kuntz receives 7%. International names such as Zinédine Zidane and Arsène Wenger attract 6% and 1% respectively. At the lower end of the table, Hannes Wolf, Ralph Hasenhüttl, and Arsène Wenger each register at or below 2%. A residual category of freely named alternatives accounts for 4%.
