Willingness to increase consumption of women's soccer due to more extensive medialization
The chart documents the self-reported willingness of soccer-interested respondents to watch women's soccer on TV more frequently if media coverage of matches were more extensive. The data capture four response options ranging from clear agreement to clear rejection (Germany, February 2023).
A combined 75% of respondents indicate openness to increasing their consumption: 33% answer "yes" outright, while 42% choose "rather yes." The "rather yes" category alone represents the largest single share across all four response options. On the rejecting side, 13% say "rather no" and 12% say "no" — together accounting for 25% of the sample. The gap between the two positive response options is 9 percentage points, with "rather yes" at 42% outpacing the definitive "yes" at 33%. The two rejecting categories are distributed almost evenly, with a 1-percentage-point difference between them.
