Favorite telecommunication providers in 2024 in the target group benchmark
The table documents favorite telecommunications providers among three groups in Germany in 2024: the total population, people interested in sports, and people interested in handball. Respondents could name multiple providers.
Deutsche Telekom leads across all three groups. It reaches 30% among all respondents, 32% among sports-interested respondents, and 35% among handball-interested respondents. Vodafone ranks second in each group at 27%, 28%, and 30% respectively. 1&1 holds third position across all groups, ranging from 17% to 20%.
Telefónica (o2) shows a wider spread: 15% among all respondents and sports-interested respondents, rising to 19% among handball-interested respondents. Discount providers occupy the lower range — Aldi Talk sits at 12% to 13%, Lidl Connect at 6% to 9%. The share of respondents answering "don't know / no indication" is 11% in the total population and drops to 7% among handball-interested respondents.
