Image evaluation of selected national and international soccer associations (in GER, ENG, NDL, BEL, AUT, CHE)

The dataset documents the image ratings of seven soccer associations among sports-interested respondents across six countries — Germany, England, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Switzerland — surveyed in October 2022. Respondents rated each association they were familiar with on a five-point scale; the figures reflect the combined top-two positive responses.

The DFB receives its highest rating in Belgium at 73%, compared to 44% in Germany itself. The FA scores 65% in Belgium and 57% in the Netherlands, against 52% in England. UEFA reaches 50% in Belgium but falls to 36% in Switzerland. FIFA consistently trails the national and continental associations across all six markets, ranging from 26% in Switzerland to 45% in Belgium. CONMEBOL shows a wide spread: 48% in Austria versus 21% in the Netherlands. CONCACAF records the lowest values across the table, with 18% in Germany and a high of 34% in Austria.
