Ownership of a telephone landline in the household
The chart documents household landline telephone ownership across population segments. Respondents were asked whether they have a landline at home. The dataset compares sports-interested respondents against the total population and breaks the data down by gender and age group (survey conducted in July 2020).
Sports-interested respondents and the total population register identical ownership rates of 78%. Among gender segments, women report higher ownership than men: 81% compared to 76%. The age breakdown shows the widest spread in the dataset. Respondents aged 16–24 record the lowest ownership rate at 66%. Best agers aged 55 and above sit at the opposite end of the scale, with 90% reporting a landline in their household — a 24 percentage point gap relative to the youngest age group.
