Reasons for an insecure stadium feeling among soccer fans in a country comparison (GER, ENG, USA, BRA, CHN)
The dataset documents reasons cited by soccer fans who feel unsafe at stadiums, comparing five markets — Germany, England, USA, Brazil, and China — based on survey data from December 2023. Respondents who reported feeling rather unsafe selected from a list of aided reasons; multiple answers were permitted.
The willingness of fan groups to use violence stands out across markets. In Brazil, 85% of respondents cite this reason, the highest value in the entire dataset. Germany records 47%, England 54%, and the USA 40%, while China sits at 21%.
