National distribution of groups of people among people interested in sports

The chart documents the national distribution of population groups among people interested in sports. Respondents self-classified into one of five groups. The data were collected in early 2023 and cover a sample representative of the 16–69 age range.

The white population accounts for 96% of those interested in sports. The remaining four groups together make up 4%. People of color represent 1.4%, followed by the Indigenous population at 1.3%. The Asian population stands at 1.0%. The category "Other" records the lowest share at 0.3%.
