Willingness to share personal data in apps for better offers over time
The dataset documents willingness among sports-interested shopping app users to share personal data in exchange for better offers. Responses are captured across two time points — 2025 and 2026 — and broken down into four answer categories plus a "don't know" option.
In both years, the combined approving share is the majority position. In 2025, 15% answer "yes, definitely" and 46% answer "rather yes," placing the combined positive response at 61%. By 2026, this combined figure shifts to 59%, with "yes, definitely" at 16% and "rather yes" at 43%. On the rejecting side, "rather not" stands at 27% in 2025 and edges to 28% in 2026. "No, definitely not" rises from 7% to 8% across the same period. The share of undecided respondents remains flat at 6% in both years.
