Agreement with selected statements about diversity in sports
The dataset documents agreement levels among sports-interested respondents in Germany with statements on diversity, inclusion, and equality in sport. Eleven statements are compared across two measurement points, 2023 and 2025.
The highest agreement levels in 2025 appear for broad pro-diversity statements: "Sport can make a difference for diversity and variety in society" at 84% (2023: 85%) and "Sport already makes a great contribution to diversity and variety" stable at 82%. Agreement that "People from other countries of origin can integrate faster through sports" rises from 75% to 82% between the two waves. The largest shift across the dataset occurs for "Skin color does not play a role in sports," moving from 50% in 2023 to 82% in 2025. Agreement with quotas for women, origin, and culture/religion on club and association boards climbs from 38% to 52%. The statement "Sport is not suitable for integrating people with disabilities" records the lowest agreement in both years, at 39% and 45% respectively.
