Evaluation of the attractiveness of selected features/ benefits of an employer
The chart documents which employer characteristics sports-interested adults and Gen Z respondents (aged 16–25) in Germany rate as personally attractive. Both groups were surveyed in February 2023 across 21 predefined features.
Among sports-interested respondents, the top three features are pleasant working atmosphere at 55%, attractive salary including social benefits at 53%, and secure employment at 50%. Gen Z places very good work-life balance at the top with 50%, followed by attractive salary at 44% and secure employment at 42%.
The largest gaps between the two groups appear on contribute own ideas (35% sports-interested vs. 47% Gen Z), diversity and inclusion (27% vs. 42%), and very good promotion and career opportunities (28% vs. 42%). In contrast, pleasant working atmosphere shows the reverse pattern: 55% among sports-interested respondents versus 38% among Gen Z. The sports offer feature registers 13% among sports-interested respondents and 27% among Gen Z.
