The chart documents reasons for perceived professional discrimination among sports-interested respondents in Germany (February 2023). Participants who reported having experienced discrimination in their professional life or during job applications indicated which factors they attributed it to, with multiple answers permitted.
Age ranks first at 36%, followed closely by gender at 33%. Origin is cited by 27% of respondents. Own person or appearance reaches 24%. Health condition or disability and professional experience or educational background each register in the mid-range, at 18% and 17% respectively. Marital status stands at 16%. Religion is cited by 13%. At the lower end, pregnancy, children, or parental leave and sexual identity each reach 7%.
